Feasibility studies

You have a construction idea and want to know if it is feasible. Feasibility study will provide you with the discipline and insight to reassure yourself that your idea is worthwhile pursuing. The feasibility study evaluates the project’s potential for success. At QS Square we have prepared feasibility studies for hundreds of constructions.

Feasibility studies contain standard components. The exact appearance of each study varies. This depends on the industry studied, the critical factors for that project, the methods chosen to conduct the study – primary and secondary research, and the budget.

We focus on sensitivity analysis, making sure that feasibility studies show the full effect of changes on the key variables in varied sectors. We deal with a variety of due diligence issues that mainly pertain to market feasibility, risk analysis and risk management planning. The final result is a study that quantifies all steps taken in the preparation of the analysis, findings and any conclusions that may be supported as a result of an analysis of the data in the course of the study.

Conceptual design

Conceptual Design is an early phase of the design process, in which the broad outlines of function and form of something are articulated. It includes the design of interactions, experiences, processes and strategies. It involves an understanding of customer's needs - and how to meet them with products, services, & processes. Common artifacts of conceptual design are concept sketches and models.

Our sought-after design and planning expertise in infrastructure developments is founded on our innovative, artful and inspired design solutions, budget conscious thinking and our commitment to detail and quality, each with a distinctive, inviting sense of place that compliments the lives of those who enjoy them.

Development Appraisal

The development appraisal process involves researching constraints and opportunities for potential development sites and includes considerations of the location, legal and planning aspects and their physical characteristics.

Our development appraisals involve assessment and advice regarding the viability of a development proposal.

we have an excellent understanding of project appraisal techniques as well as the development process, undertaking this service primarily for property owners, developers, and architects. This service allows us to advise our clients on the overall form of the development to enable a maximum return on investment for the project.

Value Engineering

Value engineering (VE) is a systematic method to improve the "value" of project by using an examination of function. Value, as defined, is the ratio of function to cost. Value can therefore be increased by either improving the function or reducing the cost. It is a primary tenet of value engineering that basic functions be preserved and not be reduced as a consequence of pursuing value improvements.

A team approach is fundamental to the value-engineering process. QS Square believes that VE should be a continual process throughout the planning, design and construction phases. However, one way to kick start the continuous process is through formal VE workshops. In addition to QS Square's professional staff, our VE workshops include designers of record in each major discipline, user groups, administrators, operations and maintenance personnel, and an executive who can authorize the implementation of VE suggestions. We encourage discussion among participants in order to stimulate new or different ways of approaching a design solution while still maintaining overall project function and intent.

Budget Estimate / Preparation of BOQ & BOM

Bill of Quantities (BOQ), Bill of Materials (BOM), Cutting Lists & Quantity take offs are considered as the Key economical factor for any project.

BOQ & BOM are prepared at the preliminary stage of the fabrication, which involves in the core estimation of the project cost. It contains all data on scope and materials, directly or indirectly involved project and helps the Owner/ Consultant to design the profitability and feasibility of the project accurately.

QS Square will work with you to help you determine your project needs and the best way to satisfy them with the right fit procurement solutions. Construction Audits

If you operate a construction company or constructing a project, you may periodically be required to open your records and job sites for an audit.

Investors, clients or lenders may request a construction audit to ensure the project is being completed according to the contract terms, and government projects may require more frequent audits than civilian jobs.

Construction audits differ from financial audits due to the physical work that must be examined. But all audits can be beneficial by helping your company identify impending problems on a particular job before costs run significantly over budget.

Construction Audits includes

  • Completion Percentage
  • Materials
  • Environmental Issues
  • Safety

Design co-ordination & Management

Design is the process of creating a solution to a project brief and then preparing instructions allowing that solution to be constructed. project design is typically a multi-disciplinary process, involving a number of different designers, such as architects, engineers and so on, working together to create a single, holistic solution.

In a more specific sense, design coordination can refer to the actual process of ensuring that design solutions can be integrated, in particular, mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) designs, which, as they permeate through the entire project are frequently the source of coordination problems. This is particularly true for complex projects where there may be a great number of project services that need to be installed in relatively confined spaces.

Building valuations

Buildings insurance is something that every property owner, business owner or homeowner will be aware of. However one factor that is often overlooked is the actual cost of rebuilding a premises, as if the building is not insured for the correct rebuild cost, then the insurance can spring a nasty surprise when you need it the most.

This is why we recommended that all of our Commercial clients who own property to go for building valuation from QS Square at least every three years.

This can provide peace of mind & we can then make sure that the building is insured for the correct rebuild cost

Cost control and Management

Cost is one of the key performance indicators for projects. Involved in controlling costs are processes centered around planning, estimating, budgeting, financing, funding and managing costs so that the project can be completed within the approved budget.

A business owner compares actual results to the budget expectations, and if actual costs are higher than planned, management takes action. As an example, a company can obtain bids from other vendors that provide the same product or service, which can lower costs.

Schedule monitoring & Controlling

The purpose ofSchedule monitoring & Controlling is to provide an understanding of the project’s progress and also successfully communicating that status.

You can, then identify when the project’s performance deviates significantly from the plan so that appropriate corrective actions and preventive actions will be taken.

Quality Management

Quality management ensures that a Project is consistent. It has four main components: quality planning, quality assurance, quality control and quality improvement.Quality management is focused not only on project quality, but also on the means to achieve it. Quality management, therefore, uses quality assurance and control of processes as well as products to achieve more consistent quality.

Final Accounts

Final accounts give an idea about the profitability and financial position of a project to its management, owners, and other interested parties. All project transactions are first recorded in a journal. They are then transferred to a ledger and balanced. These final tallies are prepared for a complete project period.
